Boone County Genealogical Society

Boone County Genealogical Society (BCGS) was founded in 1997 and is now a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
 
The specific purposes of the Society shall be:
  1. To investigate, collect, record, publish and preserve the genealogical and historical materials of Indiana emphasizing Boone County and the adjoining counties; and
  2. To provide educational opportunities in the use of genealogical, historical and reference materials in preparing, publishing, and disseminating biographies, local histories, and family histories and family lineages.
Membership is currently $15.00 a year running from January 1st to December 31st.  An application can be found under the "Contact" tab.

Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month in all months except July and December.  Check the "Society Events Page" tab for topic and location.
 
The Society also publishes a quarterly newsletter called It's All Relatives which is available to members.
 
NOTE:  "Cemetery Records" (other than locations) and "Links" on the website are only available to members.
